The Base Area Operations department of Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort required a solution to create and manage parking infractions around the resort.

Goals:

• Give end users visibility of all current and prior offences

• Allow users to create parking infractions

• Allow managers to create, edit and delete infractions & exceptions, view deletion logs and backup the database on demand.

Limitations:

• Data/WiFi unreliable around the parking lots, so an offline database was required

• Pool of end users for the app will be varied - UI had to assume only a basic knowledge of apps

• Had to be compatible with an older Android version - API level 22
